This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Louise De More was born in Iowa in 1939. DeMore grew up in the grandeur of the Rockies whose beauty inspired her to become an artist. After moving to Los Angeles in 1949, she studied at the Art Center School, UCLA, and with Sergei Bongart, Tom Nicholas, Robert E. Wood, and Millard Sheets. She has given workshops at Fredericksburg Artist’s School, Valdes Art School, and in several of the workshops at Plein Air Painters of America. As well as plein air landscapes, she also paints seascapes and figure studies. She currently maintains a studio-home in Los Osos, CA.
