Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola was born in 1872 and died in Paris in 1950. A student of Fernand Cromon and Pierre Dupuis at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris, Guirand de Scévola was above all known as a painter in the academic style and a refined pastellist. He left an abundant body of work, including landscapes, flower paintings, society portraits, scènes galantes and nudes. His portraits of young women in the symbolist style are highly estimated. He exposed at the Salon des Artistes Fr (showing 500 of 2576 characters). |
