Marshall Brines Drew was born in Greenport, NY. An art teacher at
Grover Cleveland High School in New York City for 36 years, he was a
survivor of the Titanic disaster in 1912. Mr. Drew, who was 8 at the time, was traveling on the Titanic
with his aunt and uncle when the ship sank on it's maiden voyage
killing 1,513 people. His uncle, James Drew, perished in the disaster.
His aunt, Lulu Drew survived.
