The following information was submitted March, 2006 by Thorne Webb Dreyer, son of the artist.
When Martin Dreyer died in Houston in 2001 at the age of 92, Houston Chronicle
writer Janette Rodrigues wrote that his “colorful life included
white-water rafting with Lady Bird Johnson and shooting pool with
Minnesota Fats.”
He also was an accomplished painter, a noted fiction writer, an
award-winning newspaper man, a teacher of creative writing, a gallery
(showing 500 of 5224 characters). |
