Scottsdale, Arizona painter Mary DeLoyht-Arendt earned a bachelor's degree in art history from the University of Missouri and worked as a commercial artist for 12 years before turning to a career as a fine artist.
She began as a studio artist painting with oils though changed to working en plein air with watercolors after a trip to Catalina Island.
