Mary Suehanna Darter Coleman was born in Fort Worth, TX on Nov. 16, 1893. Mary Darter graduated from Texas Christian University and then studied at the Art Students League in New York City under Bridgman, Mora, and Carlson.
From New York she returned to Texas as an art instructor at Midland College, Texas Christian University, and Phillips University in Oklahoma. After her marriage to painter Harvey B. Coleman in 1925, she settled in Los Angeles. Among those with (showing 500 of 1704 characters). |
