| | Born in Java, Dutch West Indies on Feb. 28, 1904. Daum immigrated to the San Francisco Bay area in 1923. He studied at the CSFA under Otis Oldfield. In 1936 he moved to New York where he worked as a designer. Returning to California in 1959, he settled in Novato where he remained until his demise on June 4, 1991. He was the brother of artist Hebe Daum Stackpole.
