Miguel Dominguez was born in El Paso, Texas on December 3, 1941. At an early age he moved with his family from El Paso to the Salinas Valley, on the Monterey Peninsula, where he spent his formative years. His family encouraged his early art involvement. Growing up in a rather rural area has enhanced his love of the landscape and open spaces. He and his wife Alexandria, have two sons, Miguelin and Alexis.
