This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Lincoln, NE on Aug. 19, 1889. Olive studied with her father, Henry Howard Bagg, and at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. Although Lincoln was her main residence, she was active in Los Angeles during the 1930s. After the death of her husband, Milton Dye, she settled in Los Angeles and remained there until her death in Covina on Feb. 22, 1977. Mrs. Dye had many art students and was a highly skilled painter of landscapes, western genre and mountain scenery similar to that of her father's. Her work was widely reproduced by the Murphy Calendar Company in Red Oak, IA. Exh: Nebraska State Fair, 1930 (award). In: Lincoln Jr High School; Shriner's Hospital (Minneapolis); First Baptist Church (Lincoln).
