| | Otto Dobbertin (1862-1931)
Sculptor. Born in Hamburg, Germany in 1862. While a resident of San Francisco in the 1890s, Dobbertin (aka D'Aubertin) studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. He had a studio at 424 Pine Street, which also housed the local art asssociation, the studios of William Keith and others. There he produced bas reliefs, medallions, and portrait busts of such notables as Michael H. de Young and Colonel Crocker. | Source:
