Grew up in Clay Center then moved to Leavenworth in 1897 where she graduated from high school. Studied art in Chicago. Taught art in Kansas City from 1914-6, at Clay County Normal Institute in 1917, and then at Colorado Springs High School until 1939. Pupil of Birger Sandzén & Emma M. Church.
