| | Born in Ireland in 1832. Devine and his brothers, T. F. and John Charles, learned masonry skills in NYC before joining the Gold Rush to California. They soon established a marble works in Sacramento, having discovered quarries near Columbia. About 1861 Patrick settled in San Francisco where he remained until his death of consumption on Jan. 1, 1870. His work includes portrait busts in marble and bronze medallions. Exh: Calif.
