A plein-air painter from Marblehead, Ohio, Richard Dziak works in oil, striving for luminosity, using a painterly, impressionistic style. The paintings are representational, and are inspired by the natural beauty of the Marblehead Peninsula, Port Clinton and the surrounding area.
Primarily a landscape painter, Dziak works "en plein air" for his smaller paintings, capturing the Lake Erie shoreline, and inland scenes with spontaneity and strong color.

"Other works are simply superb, no matter where they're hung. Richard M. Dziak's potent landscape, "Off Buck Road", is the sort of mind-blowing new look at familiar turf that artists provide so powerfully."
