| An art teacher at Montana State University from 1949 to 1977, he is credited with influencing many aspiring artists and also with being accomplished as a printmaker, sculptor, and painter. His subjects were the people around him as well as the landscape, and his work ranged from representational portraiture to colorful abstractions.
In 1999, his work was donated by his widow Gennie De Weese to the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, Montana. |
