Ruth Wilcox was born in New York City and was married to Ray
Wilcox. She was primarily a painter and a commercial artist but
was also known as a craftperson. She was a member of the AAPL and
NAWA and studied at ASL, NY School of Fine & Applied Art, PAFA and
Academie Julian in Paris. Mrs. Wilcox was also known as Ruth
Wilcox Dawes.
