This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A painter, illustrator, writer, graphic artist and designer, Ryah Ludins was also a teacher at Columbia University in New York City and Ohio University at Athens.  Ludins earned a Bachelor of Science in Education at Columbia University, and studied at the Art Students League in New York with William Hayter and Kenneth Hayes Miller, and in Paris with Andre Lhote.  Her married name was Ryah Ludins De Fuentes.

She was a member of The Artist Equity Association, National Society of Mural Painters, American Artist Congress and the Woodstock Art Association.  She exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and Society of American Etchers, earning print recognition in 1931 for Fine Prints of the Year.  Other exhibition venues were the Museum of Modern Art, Connecticut Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of Art, Architectural League, California Palace of the Legion of Honor and Rochester Memorial Art Gallery.

Ludins did murals in the Nazareth, PA Post Office and the Cortland, NY Post Office, and was author of the book, The Wonder Rock, 1932.  She traveled in Europe and in Mexico.
