| | Born in Oakland, CA on May 14, 1883. During the 1890s Drinkwater was a pupil of William Keith at his Friday night sessions held in his home in Berkeley. In 1910 she married John F. Shuman and painted for a few years after establishing a home in Berkeley. A cerebral hemorrhage ended her life there on May 14, 1935. | Source:
