Portraitist Sidney Dickinson was the son of a congregational minister.
While his father preached Sidney would sketch. At the age of
eight Dickinson made pictures, and while growing up he always had the
notion that he was to be a painter, and young Sidney directed all his
energies towards accomplishing this goal.
Dickinson was born in
Wallingford, Connecticut, and lived in several places, including North
Dakota and Alabama. His experiences gave him a broad
understanding (showing 500 of 7228 characters). |
