| A landscape painter, writer and teacher, Theodore Dillaway was active in Philadelphia where he was Director of Art Education for the public schools.
He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts with Thomas Eakins. He was also a student of etching with Stephen Parrish and in the late 19th century studied in Paris at the Delacluse Academy. In Boston, he studied at the Massachusetts Normal Art School. |
