| Born in College Place, WA on July 19, 1891. Veda Carnahan began her art studies as a child with her mother and grandmother, and at age ten painted her first watercolor. In 1901 she moved to California with her family and settled in San Jose. She studied art while at Pacific Union College and continued her art studies with Frederick Gray at the Carmel Arts & Crafts Club and privately with Mary DeNeale Morgan, Wm Adam, and Otis Oldfield. In 1910 she married Warren Dayton. She taught art at C (showing 500 of 1269 characters). |
