| | Born in Colorado on June 29, 1885. Derge settled in Berkeley, CA in 1903 and graduated from UC in 1911. She taught art at the College Women's Club and at the City Club in San Francisco. A spinster, she died in Berkeley on Nov. 9, 1964. Her book Color, Form, and Composition was published locally in 1966.
