|  Born in Maxwell, CA on June 3, 1887. DeLappe worked in San Francisco for about fifty years as a freelance artist under contract to McCann-Erickson Advertising Agency. In his leisure he painted, etched, and did hundreds of caricatures of political figures and his advertising friends. He died in San Francisco on April 18, 1952.
