WILLIAM ADAMS DELANO (JANUARY 21, 1874 - JANUARY 12, 1960)
William Adams Delano (1874-1960) was a prominent artist and architect who practiced in New York City from the early 1900's until the 1950's. His firm, Delano & Aldrich, was well known as designers of country houses of high society.
Born in 1874, Delano was the son of Eugene Delano, a partner in the investment banking firm of Brown Brothers. He attended Lawrenceville Preparatory School and entered Yale in 1895. Following (showing 500 of 3854 characters). |
