Director of the Escuela University Bellas Artes in San Miquel, Mexico from 1938 to 1951, William Dickinson was born in Chicago, Illinois and earned a BA from Princeton University. He also studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Fontainebleau.
He was an author and illustrator, whose works include "Mexican Odyssey" and "Death is Incidental".
