Fascinated by Oriental batiks when she lived in Okinawa, Japan, Beth Erlund began working with this medium when she took classes from Indonesian women living in Japan. She joined a local art group, and participated in their exhibits. Today she lives in Morrison, Colorado.
She was educated as a zoologist and is especially fascinated by the Bonobo chimpanzee, whose human-like characteristics including reasoning abilities she finds intriguing. Basing her subject matter on her animal interest (showing 500 of 1176 characters). |
