| Wyatt Eaton, draftsman, painter and writer was born in Philipsburg, Canada in 1849. He studied at the National Academy of Design, between 1867 and 1872. He also studied under Samuel Colman, Daniel I Huntington, and others while working in the studio of Joseph Oriel Eaton, a little-known artist (to whom he was not related). Wyatt Eaton's style was said to be "all environment" in which, according to him, "every teacher contradicted every other teacher-a decided advantage to the pupils because it m (showing 500 of 2870 characters). |
