Edna Luke Elrod (1906-1985)
She received her teaching degree from San Francisco State
University. Her early work was in oil and watercolor. Mrs.
Elrod moved to San Jose, CA in 1956; in the late 1970's she took classes from Mr. Thomas Leighton of San Francisco and
started to do work in oil pastels. Mrs. Elrod's paintings have
been in many fine art exhibits and received many awards. She was
an active member of the Santa Clara Artist Guild of Santa Clara, CA.
