compared to the extensive information about American artists.
Wilhelm Emil (Elk) Eber (1892-1941)
Known for his true to life depiction of Native American Chiefs and life, most notably a painting titled "Custer's Last Stand", the German born Eber nevertheless remains a controversial figure in painting history for his propaganda pictures he created during the Third Reich.
According to the German language article about the artist at: http://artroots.com/art5/elkeberarticle.htm it is also doubtful, that he ever visited the United States of America, contrary to what is said in other reference literature.
