| Born in Ohio, Ella Robinson Estill was a floral and botanic painter who
was active in her birth place of Columbus, Ohio; Oracle and Tucson,
Arizona; and Los Angeles. Her specialty was watercolors, and for
the Smithsonian Institution, she did numerous depictions of cacti and
desert flowers from 18 years of residence in Arizona.
She was married to John Wilmott Estill.
In 1921, she and her husband settled in Los Angeles, California where she exhibited with the Friday Morning Club.
