| Elmer Fredrick Ekeroth was born in Malden, Massachusetts on August 30, 1918. He specialized in impressionist landscapes, seascapes, and still life works. Ekeroth studied at the Vesper George School in Boston, School of Practical Art in Boston, and the Cambridge Center Art School in Cambridge, Mass.
Ekeroth was a founding member, and first President of the Pacific Grove Art Association in 1967 (which later became the Central Coast Art Association). He also served on the first Board of Directors for the Oakland Art Association.
He exhibited his works at the Oakland Art Association, Alameda County Fair, Monterey County Fair, Pacific Grove Art Association, Pacific Grove Art Center, Central Coast Art Association, and many other shows on the Monterey Peninsula.
A prominent figure for many years on the Monterey Peninsula, Ekeroth died in Monterey on October 11, 1993.

| Born in Malden, MA on Aug. 30, 1918. Ekeroth studied at the Cambridge Center Art School, Vesper George School and School of Practical Art in Boston He later settled on the Monterey Peninsula where he was first president of the Pacific Grove Art Ass’n. He died there on Oct. 11, 1993. A landscape painter, his subjects included the lone cypress, the local mission, and other scenic local spots.
