This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Faye Earnest, an accomplished artist represented throughout the United States, experienced the thrill of polo at Point Clear, Alabama. Excited by the flash of color and movement of organic shapes, she became involved in the aesthetic aspects of the sport. With a background in human figure work and southern landscapes, the polo paintings were a natural progression.
The speed, power and grace of the horses added another element to the bold artistic style. "The vivid colors left visual images in my mind: I knew that I wanted to paint the emotional rush of the sport."
