This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A multimedia artist, Jody Elff created 2001 an installation titled "Re.Sound," which opened at Manhattan's Moving Image Gallery. It was a real-time sound sculpture. Using Max, a graphical programming environment for music and media applications, he allowed a Macintosh G4 to autonomously translate the noise generated by movement and sound into musical responses.
Elff orchestrated the piece with a tower placed behind mysterious black curtains. The result was a spontaneous interpretation of the social dynamics of a New York City art opening. |
