Lionel Louis Edwards (1874-1954), settled in Los Angeles in 1889. He was a member of the California Art Club and the Painters and Sculptor of Los Angeles.
He exhibited at the Los Angeles County fair in 1929 and won first prize at the California Art Club in 1954.
Lionel Louis Edwards painted everything from snow cap mountains to desert scenes but seemed to enjoy especially painting scenes on hilly landscapes with homes or buildings.

| Born in California on Jan. 25, 1874. Edwards settled in Los Angeles in 1889. He was active there both as an artist and a newspaper publisher. In his leisure he made painting forays into the desert area around Palm Springs and the high Sierra. Edwards died in Los Angeles on April 27, 1954. Member: Calif.
