This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Head of the Art Department at the John Burroughs School in Clayton, Missouri, Mabel Edsal studied at the Art Students League in New York with Frank DuMond, William Merritt Chase, Charles Hawthorne, and Luis Mora. She was a member of the Saint Louis Art Guild and exhibited widely including the Pennsylvania Academy in 1914, and the National Academy of Design.
