A comic book artist, Nat Edson also painted in his spare time. He was a ghost illustrator for Lyman Young on "Tim Tyler's Luck" strip in the 1930s and 1940s and also created "Curly Harper" comic strip. Most of his work remained anonymous, and he seldom got credit, but "His is the style most closely associated with the heyday of "Tim Tyler's Luck." (115) This included Tyler's African and Coastal Patrol adventures with his crony, Spud.
During World War II, Edson drew the "Espionage" feature (showing 500 of 2365 characters). |
