| Active in Washington DC in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and later in Chicago and Plainfield, New Jersey, Nina Allender was an officer to the DC Art Students League and was a charter member of the Washington Art Club. Other memberships were the Society of Washington Artists and the Watercolor Club.
Allender was official cartoonist for the National Women's Party for whom she was official cartoonist. Among her cartoons were The Suffragist and Equal Rights.
She studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Art and the Corcoran School of Art and in London with Frank Brangwyn.
Exhibition venues included the Cosmos Club, Library of Congress, Society Washington Artists, Washington Watercolor Club, Washington Art Club, and the National Academy of Design in New York.

| Born Auburn and 1872; died 1957, Nina Allender was a painter and illustrator. Studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She was a student of William Merritt Chase and Robert Henri. She also studied in London with Frank Brangwyn. She produced cartoons related to women’s suffrage.
