From a studio on the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan, she became a prolific watercolor artist whose Impressionist work was circulated widely in prints by Mill Pond Press.
She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and Roosevelt University and received an honorary doctorate from Northern Michigan University. She has been a long-time member of the American Watercolor Society and the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolor.
