| Born in NYC on Feb. 29, 1908. Edgren came to Los Angeles with his family in 1918. His father, Robert W. Edgren, introduced him to art at an early age. He studied locally at the Otis Art Institute. After earning his doctorate in psychology at Stanford University in 1929, he studied painting at the Carmel Art Institute under Armin Hansen. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Croix de Guerre for service in the Army during WWII in Europe. Edgren taught psychology in Oakland at Mills College from (showing 500 of 841 characters). |
