Roberta Doris (Frye) Eldridge struggled throughout her lifetime
with asthma, but there was nothing she could not do once she put her
mind to it.
She taught herself to paint, whittle, and work with leather, and
became a well-known artist both within and outside Boston's African-
American community.
"Roberta was prolific," John Barbour, a charter member of the
Boston Afro-American Artists Association, said yeste (showing 500 of 928 characters).
