| Virginia Emmons was born in Central Massachusetts. Majored in art at Pratt Institute and continued study at Grand Central School and Art Students League. Later studied with Stanley Woodward, Margaret Fitzhugh Browne and Paul Strisik.
Member of the Copley Society, Academic Artists Association, Rockport Art Association, and the North Shore Arts Association.
