"William Henry Earle, a painter and teacher, was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, July 12, 1928. He studied at the Art Students League with Frank V. Dumond and Robert B. Flale, 1945-1949; at Grand Chaumier and Beaux Arts, Paris, 1950-1952; at the State University of New York and Southern Connecticut State University, 1977. When he was 31, he painted nine war memorial murals for Harmon Hall at Norwich University in Connecticut, commissioned by President Harmon. He also did some (showing 500 of 966 characters). |
