This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Albert C Fauley was an Ohio portrait and landscape painter and teacher.  His portraits of Ohio governors James E. Campbell, William McKinley, and Asa S. Bushnell are in the Ohio Statehouse collection.

He studied at the Académie Julian in Paris with Gustave Boulanger and Benjamin Constant from 1888-94.  From 1898 to 1910, he taught at the Columbus Art School, and from 1912 to 1917, at the Columbus School for Girls. 

Fauley exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1903; the League of the Columbus Museum of Art in 1919 (prize); National Academy of Design in 1898 and the Corcoran Gallery in 1907.

He was married to Lucy S. Fauley, who was also a professional painters.  She signed her canvases “Stanbery Van Buren.”  Both were members of the Society of Western Artists.
