| Born in Cologne, Germany in 1825. Fahrenberg sailed to NYC in 1850 and worked there as both artist and cigar maker until 1858. An itinerant artist, he was in Louisville (1859), New Orleans (1860), San Antonio (1878), and Mexico before coming to San Francisco in 1886. Exh: Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1886.
