Illustrator and sculptor, Alexander Finta was born in Turkeve, Hungary on June 12, 1881. Finta was educated in Europe and at Columbia University. After settling in Los Angeles in 1939, he produced mostly portrait busts in marble and bronze.
He was author of the books, Herdboy of Hungary, Trial by Steel, and Chico. He worked for 20th Century Fox studios before his death on Aug. 3, 1958.
