Studied with Werner Drewes at Washington Univ. in St. Louis from 1946-49 and earned a BS and did graduate work at Indiana Univ. from 1951-53. Studied woodcut and Sumi painting with Unichi Hiratsuka, a “living treasure” of Japan. Lived in Columbia, MD in 1988.
