Biography from Schwarz Gallery:
| Canadian born Antoine Sebastien Falardeau, after receiving some art instruction in Quebec City, sold his possessions to finance a trip to Italy where he studied in Florence and Parma. He made copies of old masters and won an international competition for the best copy of a Corregio. He was so well thought of as a copyist that a town in Quebec was named after him and his work hangs in many museums.
