| Painter. Born in Red Bluff, CA on Oct. 2, 1920. Fickert was artistically inclined at an early age. At Red Bluff High School she studied art under Ruth Gordon. Upon graduation in 1937, she was a pupil of Arthur Hill Gilbert and of Millard Sheets at Scripps College. In 1956 she married attorney Arthur Dowell and lived in the Washington, DC area for many years. She later settled in Red Bluff, CA where she remained until her death on April 19, 2001. Exh: Calif.
