| Carolyn Fernandez paints whimsical, cartoon-like compositions of food, athletes, swimming pools and other leisure activities. She studied art at the Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University where she earned a bachelor's degree in visual arts. She also studied art in Italy and at the University of California in Davis where her teachers were Wayne Thiebaud and David Hollowell.
