| Charles Daniel Frey was born in Denver, CO on Oct. 9, 1886. After studying art in Denver and Paris, Frey moved in San Francisco where he was a member of the Bohemian Club. After the disaster of 1906, he moved to Chicago and worked in the art departments of the Examiner and Evening Post. He died there in November 1959.
