Chawky Frenn was born in Lebanon, where he lived for 20 years before migrating to the United States. This Lebanese-American artist studied and earned his MFA from 1987 - 1988 at the Tyler School of Art-Temple Abroad, Rome, Italy, and from 1986 - 1987 at the Tyler School of Art of Temple University, Philadelphia, PA.
During the fall of 1985, he studied at the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, and from 1982 - 1985, he earned his BFA at the Massachusetts College of Art, in Boston, MA.
